FRONT END DEVELOPER (M/F/D)
Reporting to the Global Web Director, the Front End Developer is responsible for giving an outstanding experience to our customers while they are shopping on our web shops and connecting with our brand and products. At the junction of User eXperience, brand image and digital journey, this role require a strong attention to detail, an ability to listen to our customers’ needs and the know-how to convert this into a high quality code. The Front End Developer will partner on a daily basis wit the full stack developer, the Back End Developer and the Art Director to deliver a digital experience as good as it is to ride a DECOY on beautiful alpine trail.
YOUR MISSION
- Determining the structure and design of web pages
- Ensuring user experience determines design choices
- Developing features to enhance the user experience
- Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design
- Ensuring web design is optimized for mobile
- Building reusable code for future use
- Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability
- Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages
- Maintaining brand consistency throughout design
WHAT YOU BRING IN
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Understanding of key design principles
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS/Less, JavaScript and jQuery
- Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Illustrator/Figma
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design
- Understanding of SEO principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Bonus – PHP and SQL knowledge
