We are looking for a Hardware Development Engineer (all genders) to join our team in Adelberg as soon as possible.

Wodeer Technology Europe GmbH is a growing German company with a Chinese parent company. We are the European subsidiary of Zhejiang Wodeer Technology Co., Ltd., a global high-tech enterprise with over 4,000 employees worldwide. Our core competence lies in the development and production of electronic components for the automotive industry. Our products stand for innovation, quality, and deep integration into the global supply chain of leading automotive manufacturers.

Wodeer Technology Europe GmbH was founded in 2018 and focuses on the development, sales, technical support and production of customized sensor and actuator solutions for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. We currently have a team of 18 employees and are actively looking for new team members due to our rapid growth in Europe. As part of our long-term strategic expansion, we have been operating at our new site in Adelberg, Baden-Württemberg (approximately 40 kilometers east of Stuttgart) since July 2025. This new location includes our office space and will also serve as our future production base in Europe. Production is scheduled to start by the end of 2026. Adelberg is a peaceful village surrounded by nature, located between the districts of Göppingen and Rems-Murr-Kreis.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the internal standardization of electronic hardware design, development, verification and documentation process for electronic automotive sensors and actuators
  • Inspect and correct electronic designs, electrical specifications and related customer deliverables
  • Manage configuration of ECAD software versions and templates for electronic development documentation
  • Support RFQ processes for automotive sensors and actuators for European and American OEMs, taking responsibility for the electronic design within technical customer solutions
  • Maintain strong contact with electronic suppliers to stay up to date on new technologies and applications for pre-development
  • Support global purchasing planning and decision making on ICs and electronic components used across different product lines
  • Support the planning and implementation of FMEA, DV and PV tests and Functional Safety Fault-injection tests in product development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or equivalent degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Physics or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in the automotive electronics industry
  • Good knowledge of position, speed, pressure or inductive sensors and their applications in powertrain or electric drive systems
  • Familiar with prototype and product development processes, with experience in product verification and validation according to ISO and OEM standards
  • Strong skills in EMC-compliant PCB design and in applying design rules for high-speed applications and power electronics by using EDA software such as Altium, Cadence, PAD or Multisim
  • Very skillful in electrical circuit design
  • You are proficient in circuit simulation using EDA software or PSpice/LTSpice for design verification and interpretation
  • Good knowledge of automotive qualification standards and tolerance levels for electronic components and materials
  • Knowledge of, or work experience related to, Functional Safety according to ISO 26262 is preferred
  • You are fluent in English. Additional languages are a plus
