As a Service Desk Support Technician, you will provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the Rosti users both locally and globally via our internal IT Helpdesk.

 

The position is based in our Dresden, Germany facility.

 

Your assignment:

 

  • Provide local 1st line helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction.
  • Provide Global 2nd line helpdesk support, identify technical problems and propose and implement solutions.
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
  • Work in close collaboration with other technical teams including Information Security, Architecture, Service Management, etc.
  • Perform maintenance tasks on local and global applications.
  • Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software.
  • Document internal IT procedures, guidelines and policies.
  • Keep abreast of Microsoft M365 good practices, new trends and services and evaluate these for possible adoption.
  • General knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer hardware/software systems.

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Proven experience as a 1st / 2nd line IT supporter.
  • Minimum 2 years recent work experience working with Microsoft systems and applications.
  • Technical background in Windows Server, SQL, Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Exchange and Intune.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration and relationship management skills: strong team player.
  • Excellent documentation skills - ability to clearly document systems, services and implemented solutions.
  • Familiar with remote desktop applications and helpdesk software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
