Manager Strategic Ventures (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities

• Managing current and future (digital start-up) ventures within the Schwabe Group across all stages from early initiation, investment process and active investment phase
• Serving as the day-to-day point of contact for the startup management team across all stages and lifecycle of the venture
• Screening & scouting potential new ventures according to strategically defined search fields incl. the management of supporting service providers and consultants
• Networking across the relevant ecosystem of health start-ups, incubators and company-builders
• Driving, managing and supporting business development projects as well as due diligence processes in the context of (digital) ventures
• Providing support and involvement in Schwabe’s Health Interests ideation and innovation process
• Exchanging and transferring knowledge across the existing ventures as well as between the ventures and the Schwabe Group

Your profile

• B.A., M.A. or MBA in Business Administration, Finance or Digital Business Management
• Min. 5 years’ experience in VC and/or start-up and/or relevant consulting
• Affinity for the health industry
• Experience with corporate holdings and strategic venture investment
• Strategic & operational competence in digital business models and KPIs, ideally B2C experience
• Strong network in relevant ecosystems (scouting and sourcing)
• Team player with excellent communication and persuasion skills as well as a high degree of intercultural competence and international experience
• Fluency in German and English
