What to Expect

As an NPI Engineering Technician at Tesla Engineering Germany GmbH, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and support of new product introductions. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong electro-mechanical assembly skills and a solid understanding of production processes. You will collaborate closely with engineers and operations to ensure quality and efficiency in our manufacturing practices while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. What You’ll Do

- Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical assembly work while maintaining a clean and orderly work area 
- Support build processes, perform reworks on components (turning/milling), and prepare documentation for Design and Manufacturing Engineers 
- Ability to read, interpret, and create documentation and drawings, and to give and follow precise verbal and written instruction 
- Responsible for updating production records to ensure accurate tracking of processes  
- Maintain NPI Pilot Lines to keep current with changes in product design and manufacturing process 
- Troubleshooting equipment and processes by collaborating with engineering, quality and operations  

What You’ll Bring

- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in assembly for new products   
- Completed technical training as a mechanic engineer, mechatronics engineer or similar 
- Good understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems 
- Proficiency in operating production machinery either through graphical user interfaces (GUIs) or by using programming languages (e.g., G-codes, pseudo-code) 
- Extensive workshop experience with strong manual dexterity and precision 
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal 
- Experience with NPI of power electronic products and/or mass production are a plus
