Postdoctoral Researcher in Translational Cancer Research and Bioinformatics (m/w/d)

Scope of duties

· Perform and analyze wet lab experiments, including cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular cloning, and cutting-edge 3D models such as sheroid and organoid models

· Design and conduct single cell RNA-seq experiments (10x Genomics), from sample preparation to data interpretation

· Collaborate on spatial profiling experiments (Xenium, 10x Genomics)

· Contribute to manuscript preparation, grant writing, and peer review activities

· Drive project development in collaboration with international research partners

· Contribute in teaching of junior lab members

Our requirements

· A PhD or MD (or equivalent) in biological sciences or computational biology or related fields.

· Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to collaborative projects.

· Good communication skills in English.

· Programming skills with R and/or Python.

· Hands-on experience with a variety of molecular biology techniques and cell culture experiments such as flow cytometry; expertise in spheroid or organoid models is an advantage.

· Expertise in transcriptomic methodologies and high-throughput data analysis, including single-cell RNA-sequencing.

· A strong background in molecular biology, cellular immunology or oncology.

Advanced Wet Lab Assays:

· Remuneration is based on the Collective Agreement for the Public Sector of the Länder (TV-L) including all allowances customary in the public sector.
