Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks:

  • Development, monitoring, and improvement of quality processes, methods, procedures, and relevant quality KPIs in Engineering
  • Coordination, consistency checks, and support in drafting additional processes, procedures, and standards within the Design Organisation – with a particular focus on defining engineering standards
  • Development and monitoring of quality criteria for technical deliverables, design documents, checklists, and similar items
  • Creation of interface documents for the management of engineering service providers (e.g., DOID, DO-DO agreements)
  • Planning and execution of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with the DOH and its Design Management System (process audits, product audits, audits at engineering service providers)
  • Participation in, planning, and support for audits conducted by external/regulatory authorities (e.g., EASA, LBA, HISM)
  • Support in root cause analysis of internal and external quality issues in Engineering
  • Active participation in continuous improvement processes and lessons learned
  • Preparation and coordination of Supplier Quality Control Plans, including the management of alternatives
  • Support of Supply Chain Quality during audits of production suppliers
  • Contribution to milestones and development gates in aircraft programs
  • Support in risk management activities
  • Planning and delivery of training on quality tools, methods, and procedures
  • Support in technical training within Engineering

Your qualifications:

  • Good understanding of quality principles
  • Good understanding of quality related aspects in the engineering of an aircraft manufacturer with advanced knowledge of EASA 21J compliance
  • Preferably a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Quality Engineering (BA Eng/Sc)
  • More than 3 years of work experience in the aviation industry or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of airframe certification requirements, design criteria, materials, methods and tools
  • Experience in the development of new aircraft is an advantage
  • Ability to prioritise, manage and implement multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills to perform audits
  • German language skills are an advantage
