Task and responsibilities:

• Project engineer (m/f/d) in the field of HVDC control technology for the components SCADA Communication Gateway (signal switching between automation devices, communication technology integration of ancillary systems and control centres)
• Creation and maintenance of specifications and manuals. Clarification of signal lists with internal interfaces and external customers & suppliers
• Creation and maintenance of the central control technology - signal database (signal switching) and configuration of the central data gateway (IPCOMM ipConv) and other protocol converters
• System integration and commissioning of the various components in the test set-up in Erlangen and Forchheim (ensuring error-free communication between the components, including signalling tests)
• Carrying out/supporting acceptance tests with suppliers and customers
• Technical support during commissioning

Knowledge:

• Degree or training in the field of electrical engineering or automation technology
• Professional experience in the field of control technology for energy transmission systems
• Experience in project management, customer clarifications and working in complex teams
• Understanding of SCADA systems in energy transmission (switchgear, etc.)
• Technical English
• Experience in remote control interface, protocol converter, data concentrator
• Confident handling of the configuration of IPCOMM ipConf Gateway & protocol converters
• Control system integration of ancillary systems
• Process/signal data processing and transmission
• Understanding of the function and application of database systems for signalling
• Processing of control technology protocols (IEC101, IEC104, IEC61850, OPC, DNP,...)
