Task and responsibilities:

The SQE supports the Site Quality Manager (SQM) by performing quality controls during on- site erection of mechanical equipment. The main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

- Technically flawless, timely and cost-effective handling of the commissioning of HVDC systems on site
- Integration tests and functional tests of the HVDC control technology (C&P hardware and software) in the test centre
- Creation and implementation of test sequences and test programmes for the converter and pole control systems, including the necessary verification documentation
- Planning, implementation and evaluation of workshop tests (acceptance tests) for subcontractors
- Supporting the IBS management in quality, risk and claim management
- Participation in improvement programmes (including lean, reviews and lessons learned)

Knowledge:

- Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable training/qualification
- Knowledge of project planning and testing via MATLAB/SIMULINK, Siemens SIMATIC TDC/S7, CFC would be desirable
- Experience in the field of HVDC systems (control, regulation, measurement, protection and communication systems) is an advantage
- Good knowledge in the areas of converter technology, high-voltage technology and/or control technology round off your competence profile, ideally in the field of HVDC technology
- Good knowledge of German and English
- Willingness to travel worldwide on business trips and predominantly multi-month assignments on construction sites in Germany and abroad as well as optional assignments on offshore platforms
- Coordination and monitoring of schedule and progress for own work area
