What we care about: You are a registered student of computer science, electrical and information technology, mechatronics or a comparable engineering course. Your independent and structured way of working as well as your flexibility and commitment are among your strengths. As you will be working in a multicultural environment and will also meet colleagues who only speak English, a good command of English (min. B2 level) is important. For a faster start, it helps you if you have already gained experience in programming, e.g. with Java, JavaScript, C#, C++ or Python.A first practical contact with software development or digital technology is also advantage.

Your tasks:

Our international development site in Marktheidenfeld offers you a wide range of opportunities to help shape the world of tomorrow as part of an internship or as a working student. Depending on your interests and knowledge, we will work together to find a suitable field of activity in which, for example, these activities could be waiting for you:

You will learn to use the programming languages of IEC 61131-3 (CODESYS) and IEC 61499 standard - these are THE languages for programmable controllers (PLC) in automation technology.
Together with us, you will develop new tools for our highly automated development process in C# and Python.
You will work on and analyze new concepts on how to integrate concepts like digital twins, artificial intelligence or machine learning into our products
You experience the entire agile development process(e.g. SCRUM): you specify, program, integrate and test individual technology modules.
During your work you will determine pros/cons for different technologies and help to define e.g. how the technologies can be embedded into edge devices and be scalable for cloud platforms.

This is why you should apply:

Best provided for: with us, you earn an attractive salary (mandatory internship: 1300€ per month; voluntary internship: 12,41€ per hour; working student: 15€ per hour).
Teamwork makes the dream work: You will be part of a multicultural team.
Your life, your job: We like to work flexibly and sometimes remotely.
We believe in you! With us, you will be involved right from the start and take on responsibility.
A strong start to your career: With us, you can expect a range of individual development opportunities, such as the option to write your thesis with Schneider Electric.
There's nothing to stop you from applying now to one of the most sustainable companies in the world, is there?

P.S. Please include a cover letter with your application. At Schneider Electric, we believe that no one is perfect and not all career paths are the same. So apply now — even if you don't meet all the requirements!
